ONGC hires RIL's SPM for exporting naphtha
New Delhi, Jun 5 (UNI) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) today said it has entered into a contract with Mukesh Ambani-run Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) to hire the latter's Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility on Arabian Sea off Hazira coast in Gujarat.
The company said in a statement that it will use this SPM to export the Naphtha produced by its Hazira Plant in Gujarat.
The naphtha produced at the ONGC's Hazira plant is mostly exported, after taking domestic demand into account.
ONGC is a major producer of naphtha in the country with its Hazira Plant producing around a million tonnes of Naphtha every year.
