Two more militants killed, hideout busted in J and K

Srinagar, Jun 3 (UNI) Security forces gunned down two more militants in north Kashmir while a hideout was unearthed in Rajouri, an official spokesman said today.

He said an encounter took place between militants and security forces during a search operation at village Vijhara in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

He said two militants identified as Chota Sajad and Rahim Ullah, resident of Pakistan, were killed. Three AK rifles four magiznes and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants.

A house was also damaged in the encounter, he said.

This was the third such encounter in north Kashmir since yesterday. Four militants were killed in earlier encounters.

He said a hideout was unearthed at Taryarh in Rajouri district last night. The arms and ammunition recovered included one pika gun, 94 rounds of ammunition and two pika pattas. However, no one was arrested.
