TN CM warns against return of communal forces to seat of power
Chennai, Jun 3 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today warned against the return of ''communal forces'' to power at the Centre and said it was upto to the people to stop them.
Speaking at a public meeting organised by DMK as part his 85th birthday celebrations here, he said having tasted victory in some states recently, communal forces like BJP were dreaming of coming back to power at the Centre.
''This is a very dangerous trend and the time has come for the people to decide what type of government they want- the present secular one or the ones which sought to communalise issues, including the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project (SSCP)'', Mr Karunanidhi charged.
He also said BJP's stand on Nepal declaring itself as secular provided an example of that party's communal approach, he alleged.
