Unseasonal rains lash Kolhapur city, other parts

Kolhapur, Jun 2 (UNI) Unseasonal thundershowers lashed the city twice and some parts of the district, disrupting normal life today.

Unseasonal rains were first experienced at around 1530 hrs and later at 1930 hrs, disrupting city's power supply.

The thundershowers were widespread in the district, lashing places like powerloom town Ichalkaranji, Karvir, Kagal and Chandgad tehsils as per reports reached here.

Minor incidents like breaking of tree branches and clogging of knee-deep water in low-lying areas were reported, fire brigade sources said, adding, no major untoward incident was reported.

Thundershowers were also experienced in some parts of neighbouring Sangli district.
