Nitish taking stock of BJP MLA thrashing case
Patna, Jun 2 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said he was taking stock of the alleged thrashing of BJP MLA Phalguni Prasad Yadav by State Food and Civil Supply Minister Narendra Singh during a public function in Jamui recently.
Mr Kumar told newspersons here that he had talked to Mr Singh and Mr Yadav and they had explained their stands in connection with the incident.
''I had also discussion on the issue with state JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh and state BJP president Radha Mohan Singh besides other senior leaders of both political parties,'' he added.
'' Tomorrow I will sit with senior BJP and JD(U) leaders to have threadbare discussion before the final decision on the issue is taken, '' he informed.
Asked about his prima-facie observation on the basis of inputs gathered so far, Mr Kumar refused to open cards, saying the decision would be announced only after the joint meeting of senior BJP and JD(U) leaders on the issue slated for tomorrow.
