Kashmir hosts a film festival for peace and harmony
Jammu, June 1 : Kashmir plays host to a two-day film festival in Jammu featuring the theme of religious harmony and oneness of human being as movies showcase violence torn world.
The festival which began on Friday was organised by the Yakjah, a local organisation, portrayed the pathos of the people of violence torn regions across the world.
This festival according to the organisers is meant to leave the divisive past behind for a better and prosperous future.
"Through these films, which include movies on Kashmir conflict, international conflicts, we hope that an atmosphere (of peace) would be created. We are hopeful that the youth would introspect and question (the torrid and divisive past) they would share together. And hopefully, they would move from a divided past and towards a collective future," said Ashima Kaul, organiser.
Among many films and documentaries exhibited during the two-day event Vishwas Ki Goonj' (Reverberations of Faith) a documentary centered on the Kashmir issue brought forth the turmoil of half a century long conflict in the region.

In Kashmir an inordinate loss of human lives and plethora of other problems have been ravaging the people of this part of the world for past many years.
