Raj HC issues fresh notice to Gujjar leader Col Bainsla
Jaipur, May 30 (UNI) The Rajasthan High Court today issued a fresh notice to Gujjar Reservation Action Committee Convenor Col (retd) Kirodi Singh Bainsla in a contempt petition filed by the state government.
Justice Prem Shankar Aasopa ordered issuance of fresh notice to the Gujjar leader following some legal lacunae in serving up the notice issued to him by the court earlier on May 27.
The court has also expressed its displeasure over state government's "failure" in filing affidavits detailing the steps taken by the administration in dealing with the Gujjar agitation.
Mr Aasopa had issued the notices in a petition filed by state Advocate General B P Agrawal praying for contempt proceedings against Col Bainsla for the latter's failure in keeping his words given to the court and abiding by its directives in connection with his agitation last year.
The Gujjar leader, while facing a petition against his movement last year, had assured the court that the agitation would be peaceful and normal life and law and order would be maintained.
