TRS will emerge with flying colours in byelection: Rao

Hyderabad, May 29 (UNI) Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) President and former Union Minister K Chandrasekahra Rao today exuded confidence that the party would win 17 Assembly and four Lok Sabha seats, barring the Terlam Assembly constituency, in Telangana region in the byelections.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Rao said, ''The Telangana people would teach a lesson to the ruling Congress and the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in a befitting manner for cheating them.

''The two political parties have not expressed their stand on separate Telangana clearly by confusing the people,'' he said.

Stating that most of the voters could not exercise their franchise, as their names were not included in the voters list even after they got voters identity cards, he said, because of this, the percentage of votes polled in the election was reduced in Khairatabad and Musheerabad Assembly contituencies in the city.
