Poet Sanjay Churmure receives threat call
Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) Marathi poet Sanjay Churmure today received a threat call from music director Avdhoot Gupte for allegedly refusing to give his consent for the transfer of his music rights to the latter for his forthcoming Marathi album.
According to a complaint lodged with N M Joshi Marg police station, there was a civil dispute between Mr Chumure, who is a producer of the album 'Mitra', and a music company over its release.
Later, when Mr Churmure and the music company arrived at a compromise, Gupte refused to give his consent for the release of the album.
The complaint further stated that this afternoon, Churmure received a call, threatning him of dire consequences, from Gupte who used obscene language.
N M Joshi Marg police sources said investigations are on and no arrest has been made so far.
