CPM, TDP observe dharna against assault on RS member

Tirupati, May 29(UNI) Condemning the attack on Communist Party of India(Marxist) CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member P Madhu by the Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Minister, Mukesh at Hyderabad, activists of CPI(M) and Telugu Desam Party(TDP) today observed dharna before the Gandhi statue in the temple town.

As many as 60 workers led by CPI(M) State leader K Murali and TDP leader Muniraj assembled at the Gandhi statue, staged dharna and raised slogans against Mr Mukesh for assaulting Mr Madhu.

They demanded the Government to arrest the minister and dismiss him from the cabinet.

The agitation would be intensified, if the Government failed to take action against the minister concerned, they added.
