Sale of combat dresses, cloth, plying army pattern vehicles banned
Srinagar, May 28 (UNI) In order to stop the misuse of combat dresses and Army pattern vehicles by militants, the Jammu and Kashmir government has imposed a ban on sale of such dresses and clothes in the north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
An official spokesman said today that the District Magistrate (DM) Baramulla has issued orders imposing ban on sale, purchase and storage of combat dresses and cloth.
The DM also banned plying of painted vehicles of army pattern in Baramulla district, with immediate effect.
Almost all districts in the valley and Jammu division have already imposed ban on combat dresses in their respective districts.
In the past militants were carrying out fidayeen attacks on security forces and other vital installations in the Kashmir valley in security forces and combat uniforms.
