Hurriyat Mirwaiz team visiting Pak to discuss Kashmir issue
Srinagar, May 28 (UNI) A delegation of Hurriyat Conference (Mirwaiz) will visit Pakistan from June 21 to discuss the Kashmir issue with the government there.
A spokesman for the Hurriyat Conference (HC) in a statement here this evening said the delegation led by amalgam chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Farooq will visit Pakistan on the invitation of the Pakistan government.
He said the HC was busy in finding a durable and acceptable solution to the Kashmir issue on different fronts. Because of this the HC not only supported the dialogue process but also participated in it.
The leaders of the HC held several rounds of talks with India and Pakistan leadership in the past, he said adding that now when India and Pakistan are engaged in dialogue process, Pakistan has invited Hurriyat chairman for talks to discuss the Kashmir issue.
Without divulging names and numbers, he said Mirwaiz has constituted a delegation for Pakistan.
The delegation headed by Mirwaiz will leave on June 21 and convey to Pakistan leadership that the sentiments of the Kashmiris must be respected while finding a solution to the Kashmir issue, he said.
