FIEO to set up warehouse, logistics centre in Sharjah

Chennai, May 28 (UNI) As part of its ongoing exercise to provide overseas infrastructural facilities for Indian exporters, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) will set up India Trade Warehousing and Logistics Centre in the Sharjah Free Trade Zone.

In a statement here today, FIEO Vice-President and Chairman (Southern Region) A Sakthivel said preliminary field assessment had been completed for the project in consultation with the Consulate General of India in Dubai and Indian Business and Professional Council, Sharjah.

He said since the Gulf Region and neighbouring countries had great potential, the centre would go a long way in facilitating Indian exporters stock their products and effect immediate delivery to the buyers.

''Overall assessment has been made after spot visits and discussions with all the free trade zone authorities,'' he said.
