Sushil Modi apologises for criticising report on Bihar
New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi apologised in a local court today for criticising a report on the state.
Mohan Guruswamy, author of a report 'The Economic Strangulation of Bihar', filed a complaint against Mr Modi in 2004. According to Mr Guruswamy, Mr Modi had criticised his report in connection with corruption charges.
Mr Modi had also filed a petition before the Delhi High Court against Mr Swamy which was dismissed in 2007.
Mr Modi sent an apology letter along with damages of Rs one lakh in favour of Mr Guruswamy before the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Ravinder Bedi.
The court ordered that the matter be settled on the basis of the application sent by Mr Modi.
