Rs 2.6 lakh stolen from ex-MLA's servant

Jaunpur, May 27 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants today duped a motorcyclist and stole Rs 2.6 lakh from his possession.

Machlishehr's former MLA Lal Bahadur had sent his servant Lala Ram to withdraw Rs 2,60,000 from a rural bank.

After withdrawing money, Lala Ram went to a nearby shop to purchase some domestic item, police said.

Criminals, who were keeping an eye over him, broke open the dicke and fled with the money.

A case has been registered and investigations are on.
