Development projects to be linked with eco-tourism in Punjab
Chandigarh, May 27 (UNI) The Punjab Government today decided to integrate the state-wide thrust on infrastructure development with eco-tourism.
A preliminary meeting was held under the chairmaniship of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to discuss various eco-tourism destinations in the state.
The meeting was attended by representatives of World Tourism Organisation, Team Leader Richard Batchelor and Environment Expert Jay Blakeney, who have been engaged for finalising the Punjab Tourism Master Plan.
The meeting decided to develop a mechanism for linking eco-tourism with the modernisation in infrastructure development in the state.
