Yeddyurappa elected lead of BJP Legislature party in Karnataka

Bangalore, May 26 (UNI) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader B S Yeddyurappa was today unanimously elected leader of the BJP Legislature Party in Karnataka setting in motion the process for the formation of the first BJP government in the South.

The newly elected party legislators, numbering 110, met at the residence of Mr Yeddyurappa this afternoon and unanimously elected him the leader of the Legislature party.

Party observer for Karnataka and senior leaders Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu were also present.
