Rs 30 lakh worth brownsugar seized, one held

Kozhikode, May 26 (UNI) The city police today seized 315 grams of brown sugar worth about Rs 30 lakh in the international market and arrested one person in this connection.

Police said the contraband, trasported from Mumbai, was meant for supply to local clients.

It was seized from Razzaq alias Payyan Razzaq (55) at Jaffar Khan Colony in the city.

The accused would be produced before a Magistrate here tomorrow, the police added.
