Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of inauguration of 'Indo-US leadership programme' at the Infosys campus here, he said, ''there is demand for senior faculty members in various engineering institutions within the country and it is necessary to train the present faculty members for effective teaching and learning.'' PANIIT India, umbrella alumni organisation of all the seven IITs, as part of its nation-building objectives has partnered with Indo-US Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) today and began an eight-week Engineering Faculty Leadership Programme.
