25 eminent personalities receive Bhaskar awards 2008
Panaji, May 26 (UNI) Twentyfive eminent personalities were felicitated with the Bhaskar awards 2008 for their outstanding services in different fields here today.
The individuals were honoured for their outstanding services in various sectors like education, politics, medicine, cooperation, business, industry, journalism, empowerment of women and literature in a function organised by Maharastra Journalist Foundation, Pune at Kala Academy here.
Among the recipients, three were former Goa Ministers Pandurang Raut, Gurudas Sawal and Jayant Sabhaji, the latter two journalists.
Speaking on the occasion, Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat said society should acknowledge the service of the people who work tirelessly for weaker section of the society.
