Domestic use of high intensity water pumps barred in Bundelkhand
Banda, May 25 (UNI) In wake of water crisis in drought-hit Bundelkhand region, the district administration has ordered to seize the use of higher intensity water pumps for domestic purpose in this district.
Chitrakioot division commissioner Rajnish Dubey today said this step was taken to meet the water demand in the district.
He said orders had been initiated to remove the one Horse Power (HP) or over pumps from the residences at the earliest.
Stringent action would be taken against the violaters, he added.
Yesterday, Women Congress unit staged demonstration against the water crisis in the region and also handed over a memorandum to the district magistrate.
