Two dead, 10 injured in Jammu road mishaps

Jammu, May 23 (UNI) At least two persons were killed and ten others got injured in different road accidents in Jammu region, police here today said.

Police said two motorcyclists were hit by a speeding mini bus here. The critically injured were immediately shifted to the hospital by the passers by where one of the motorcyclists identified as Mumtaz Ahmad succumbed to his injuries while the condition of his brother Showkat Ahmad is stated to be normal.

Meanwhile in another accident, Raju, 8-year-old boy was hit by tempo at Bal Bakher near tehsil Sunderbani of Rajouri district.

''He was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital but he was declared brought dead by the doctors,' police said.

However, ten passengers got injured, two of them critically in various road mishaps for the last 24 hours in Jammu region, police added.
