Meghalaya Govt, RBI sign MoU for Urban Co-op banks

Mumbai, May 23 (UNI) The Government of Meghalaya and Reserve Bank of India(RBI) have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding Urban Cooperative Banks in the State, to improve operational efficiency and quality of management information systems.

Under the MoU, RBI would assess training and computerization needs, upgrade human resource skills and technological infrastructure, a release said.

Consequent upon this, a state level Task Force for Urban Co-operative Banks (TAFCUB) chaired by Regional Director, Assam and other North Eastern states RBI, Sewali Choudhury has been set up for the State, the release added.
