Toll in hooch tragedy rises to 46
Chennai, May 21 (UNI) With six more deaths reported today, the toll in the twin hooch tragedies that rocked Hosur in Krishnagiri District of Tamil Nadu over the last weekend, rose to 46.
Reports received here said the casualties were reported from across the district and the deceased included eight women.
Police and Revenue officials were appealing to those, who had consumed the killer brew on May 17 at Solur Village in Karnataka and the next day at Billamangalam in Krishnagiri District, to go to the nearest Government Hospital for check up.
Following this, more fresh cases were being admitted to various hospitals in Hosur, Krishnagiri and Denkanikottai. Several of them complained of blurred vision.
Police said ovre 50 people were recoperating in hospitals.
