Pawar receives Doctoral Degree from Lawrence Tech University

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) Agriculture, Food and Public Distribution Minister Sharad Pawar has been awarded an honorary doctoral degree by Lawrence Tech University in Detroit, US, for his excellence as a visionary leader serving Maharashtra and the nation with a distinction, besides inspiring his colleagues for effective accomplishment and service.

''Throughout your extensive career in public service, you have been a generous and compassionate advocate for those who, often, could not be heard. Your leadership in assuring community participation and women's rights is helping to forge an India that is ever more compassionate and more inclusive,'' the citation said.

In recognition of his distinguished achievements in public service and devotion to the citizens of state, nation, and world, Lawrence Technological University is proud to grant this degree, honoris causa, with all the rights, privileges, and honors thereunto pertaining, it added.
