BJP units from UP, Bihar forward LS candidate penals
Jaipur, May 20 (UNI) The BJP state units from five states, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, have sent to the party high command, the penalsof prospective party candidates for the next Lok Sabha elections.
Talking to reporters here today, party vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the party high command had issued directives for sending the panels to the head office by May 31.
He said in compliance to the directives some states have sent in their penals, while several others were in the process to send by the deadline.
He said states like Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh where assembly elections were due to be held later this year, had been exempted from the above deadline.
However, the state units in these states were working to prepare panels of candidates for the assembly elections in their respective states, he added.
