Kathmandu, May 17 (UNI) The Nepali Congress (NC) and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) today agreed to amend all contradictory clauses of the interim Constitution and form the government only after necessary amendments were made to the Constitution.

''New government can be formed only after the constitution is amended,'' MJF coordinator Upendra Yadav told The Himalayan Times adding the constitutional provision of two thirds majority to form or oust a government should be replaced with simple majority.

''The provision of two thirds majority to form or oust a government is an undemocratic proposition and we should get rid of it,'' Mr Yadav added.

According to the MJF coordinator, both the parties agreed to have provision for the head of the state after the abolition of monarchy, and discussed to remove the names of interim parliamentarian and seven parties, as they were irrelevant in the changed context.
