Gulbarga district to have 400 parda nashin booths
Gulbarga, May 14 (UNI) The election officials would set up 400 'parda nashin' booths to check the identity of veil clad women in this district having a higher presence of minority community.
Speaking to reporters Deputy commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey said women officials would be in charge of such booths.
He said 337 hyper sensitive and 918 sensitive polling booths had been identities out of 2640 booths in 13 constituencies in the district.
Three constituencies like Surpur, Aland and Jewargi had been identified as sensitive constituencies.
Help desks would be set up for ever four polling booths to provide information to voters, he added.
