Nawaz Sharif files nomination papers for by-election
Islamabad, May 13 (UNI) The former prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif today filed the nomination papers for by-election on the national assembly seat NA-52.
Mr Sharif had yesterday pulled his party Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), out of Pakistan's six-week-old coalition government after three days talk between him and Asif Ali Zardari in London, which ended unsucessfully.
Mr Zardari's Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was leading the coalition government, Geo TV reported.
The ex-premier had obtained nomination papers from the constituencies NA-52 and 55 for participating in the by-polls, however, he submitted nomination papers for NA-52 only.
His son-in-law Captain Safdar has already filed his nomination papers for this seat.
