Woman arrested for killing her child

Mumbai, May 10 (UNI) A 23-year-old woman was today arrested by the police for killing her 4-year-old son by throwing him from the fourth floor of the building at Worli here on May 8.

According to police, Anita Ramesh Fully, who was in an ineberiated state, threw her son, Hrishikesh, from the 4th floor of their terrace in Siddharth Nagar at Worli on late Thursday evening. The grievously injured boy was later admitted to King Edward Memorial hospital.

The child, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital, succumbed today.

Anita was arrested after one of Hrishikesh's aunt Manisha Salunkhe, who had witnessed the incident, lodged a complaint against her.

Anita has been remanded to police custody till May 15, police added.
