Solid evidence in rape case against Dera chief: CBI
Ambala, May 9 (UNI) Asserting that it had solid evidence against Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh of sexually harassing 'sadhvis' (woman disciples), the CBI today pleaded in a special court here that a rape case be registered against him.
Starting arguments in the CBI special court, investigating agency's counsel H K S Verma contented that it had solid evidence of sexual harassment against the Dera Chief who used to call sadhvis to his underground 'gufa' (den) and commit rape.
He also read out before the court the statements of some sadhvis in this regard.
Winding up the arguments, the CBI counsel pleaded that a case of rape under Section 376 IPC be registered against the Dera chief who was also facing murder charges.
