Mr Kumar said the Maoist leader, wanted in connection with several cases for the past few years, was living in a hideout in the locality near Golghar for the last few days.

A truck loaded with firearms and some incriminating documents revealing some secret plans were also seized during the operation.
The Maoists at that time had planned to target the vital installations of the state capital including the secertariat and some public places.
