Mob kills leopard in Lakhimpur Kheri

Lakhimpur Kheri, May 9: A leopard was killed by a mob with sticks and stones in Isanagar area here.

The terror of the leopard was existing in Belahar village since last one week. Despite being informed, the forest officials showed little interest in coming to the area, sources said.

However, when after repeated efforts, the animal could not be held captive, the locals yesterday attacked upon him with sticks when he entered a house and wounded members of a family.

Senior administrative officials reached the spot.
