Gold December 2008 contract up

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) Gold December 2008 and February 2009 contracts were up by 1.57 per cent at Rs 12,019 per 10 gm and 0.89 pc at Rs 11,990 per 10 gm respectively, at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.

Silver June 2008 and December 2008 contracts gained by 0.86 pc at Rs 23,056 per kg and 0.91 pc at Rs 23,618 per kg respectively.

In metals, aluminium June 2008 and nickel June 2008 contracts lost by 2.28 pc at Rs 117.85 per kg and 1.39 pc at Rs 1134 per kg respectively. Similarly, all zinc contracts lost.

Lead June 2008 contract gained 0.51 pc at Rs 98.90 per kg.

Most crude oil contracts gained, June 2008 contract was up by 2.21 pc at Rs 5183 per barrel and May 2008 contract up by 2.30 pc at Rs 5212 per barrel.

Cardamom, turmeric, menthe oil and jute contracts receded.

Soyabean June 2008 contract was up 1.42 pc at Rs 2292 per quintal.

Mentha oil August 2008 contract was up 3 pc at Rs 478 per kg, while lead July 2008 contract slid by 3.35 pc at Rs 97.95 per kg, an MCX release said here.
