6 minors held on rape charge

Barwani, MP, May 9 (UNI) Six teenagers were arrested on the charge of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor tribal girl, who later attempted self immolation, at this district's Pichhori village, police said today.

Kalyanpura-resident main accused Sanjay and his accomplices Rajendra, Dilip, Dashrath, Pasalia and Sanjay committed crime on the night of May 4. The girl managed to escape from the clutches of the accused and reached home. Being dejected by the incident the victim 15-year-old attempted suicide and was undergoing treatment in district hospital.

The girl went to Pichhori village to attend her relative's marriage function.
