Mafia don Brijesh brought to city amid tight security

Varanasi, May 7 (UNI) Mafia don Brijesh Singh, who was nabbed in Bhubneshwar two months back, was brought from Mumbai to the city for hearing amid tight security.

Security personnel, who were bringing Brijesh to Shivpura central jail in Mahanagri Express, stepped down in Kashi railway station for security reasons and followed road route to the jail.

Chief Judicial Magistrate carried out the hearings of three cases against the accused in the jail itself.

At least 24 cases of loot, extortion, murder, attempt to murder and other such heinous crimes were pending against the don.

The CJM had asked the authorities to keep Brijesh in the jail till May 12.
