Jaisalmer recorded hottest place in Rajasthan
Jaipur, May 7 (UNI) The desert town of Jaisalmer, at 42 degrees Celsius turned out to be the hottest place in the Northern region today even as spells of duststorm and/or hailstorm and rain continued at some places in Rajasthan.
Rain and duststorm, during the past three days had arrested the rising trend in temperature as the mercury recorded a fall of one to two degrees at different places during past the 24 hours, a Meteorology Department spokesman said.
Bikaner today recorded a maximum temperature of 41.1 degrees, while Jaipur and Jodhpur recorded 40 degrees, he added.
Rain and duststorm were reported from a few places, including Jodhpur, reports reaching the state headquarters said.
