Mysore, May 2 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader H D Kumaraswamy today launched a campaign for May 10 Assembly election from a village in Chamundeshwari constitutency.

Addressing public meetings at several villages in the constituency, he said due to the Congress-led UPA government's apathy, the issuance of Ration card to people belonging to Below Poverty Line was affected.

''If JD(S) comes to power all such problems would be taken care of'', he said.

Mr Kumaraswamy alleged that some parties were taking credit for achievements made by him during his tenure as Chief Minister.

Congress leader Siddaramaiah, who was Deputy Chief Minister twice had not done any worthwhile work in Chamundeshwari constituttency.

he was shedding crocodile tears and trying to woo the voters, Mr Kumaraswamy said.

The former Chief Minister announced that he would prefer to campaign in Mysore rather than Ramanagara from where he is contesting.
