HC notices to actor, stay's Lower Court order
Hyderabad, May 2 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh High Court today issued notices to Telugu film star Pavan Kalyan, the younger brother of matinee idol Chiranjeevi, in connection with bigamy case against him based on a revision petition filed by his wife Nandini's counsel's and stayed the lower court order.
The estranged wife of Pavan Kalyan filed the revision petition challenging the verdict of first Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Visakhapatnam, who dismissed the bigamy case against the actor for lack of information, recently.
The next hearing on the case would be taken up after the summer vacation.
Ms Nandini, daughter of Visakhapatnam-based businessman K Chakradhara Rao, claimed that her husband married another woman without divorcing her.
She had also accused Chiranjeevi and his family members of supporting the second marriage.
Two more cases, one demanding alimony by Nandini and another seeking divorce by Pavan, were pending in a family court at Visakhapatnam.
