Shanmugam takes charge in Singapore Law Ministry
Singapore, May 1 (UNI) Singapore's top lawyer K Shanmugam today took over as the island state's Law Minister from Professor S Jayakumar.
The 49-year-old Mr Shanmugam, who has practised law for 23 years, would also concurrently hold the appointment of Second Minister for Home Affairs.
Prof Jayakumar remains as Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, under a cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on March 31 this year.
