Govt depriving minority students from scholarship: CPI

Patna, Apr 27 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) today alleged the Bihar government was depriving the minority students of scholarships.

CPI state secretary Badri Narayan Lal said the Nitish Kumar government did not send the related applications of minorities to the Centre under fixed time even after the students had submitted their form before time.

He also dubbed this a ''major failure'' of the Nitish Kumar government, which had framed a ten-point programme for uplift of the minorities.

Mr Lal said the government was ''misleading'' the minorities and alleged the state government was in fact taking lightly the educational future of the minority students.

He alleged some ''conspiracy'' had been hatched against the minorities and demanded that the state government pay the scholarship from the state exchequer.
