State govt to start Juvenile Justice Boards by july
Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) The Bihar government is all set to start Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBS) in every district by July this year.
Official sources said here today that an affidavit had been filed in Patna High Court during the course of hearing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to this effect.
The sources also informed that Children Welfare Committees would be constituted in three months and Children Protection Units would start functioning within six months.
However, no time frame had been set to constitute special juvenile police units, the sources added.
