No TG water to TN: RHIV
Tirupati, Apr 26 (UNI) Rayalaseema Hakkula Ikya Vedika (RHIV) President T G Venkatesh today warned Tamil Nadu government that not even a single drop of Telugu Ganga (TG) water would be provided to the state if they were not taking care of Telugu people in the schools in the state.
Addressing a press conference, he said ten per cent of the people in Tamil Nadu speaks Telugu and the government should provide Telugu schools for them. If not, the TG water will flow in Rayalaseema alone, he added.
He demanded that the Centre should establish schools for Telugu people in Tamil Nadu.
RHIV would fight for the 'rights of Rayalaseema' and protect the sentiments of the people. He demanded that 80 per cent of the posts in TTD should be reserved for the people of Rayalaseema and remaining for those from outside.
Earlier, Mr Venkatesh released a book on 'Rayalaseema Poorvaparalu - Seema Rights on Krishna water', written by retired IAS officer K Ramireddy.
