BSP releases manifesto for K'taka polls
Bangalore, Apr 26 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) today released its manifesto laying stress on providing effective health, education and housing facilities for the poor and Dalits and free power supply to farmers, if it comes to power in Karnataka.
The manifesto, which was released by Assembly Election Incharge Veerasingh here, said the party would give priority to promotion of education among girl child from primary to high school level and for that it would pay an allowance of Rs ten per day for each day of attendance.
The party plans to increase the literacy rate among women in the state from this initiative, it said.
It would also initiate programmes to provide health facilities to the poor by upgrading hospitals and launching insurance schemes for treatment of serious diseases in the rural areas.
The manifesto said the party would also provide free education to Dalit communities at all stages of learning.
For farmers, it would provide free power in the rural areas along with setting up of revolving fund of Rs 1,000 crore for the Market Intervention Operation in the state.
The manifesto also dealt with irrigation, besides development of infrastructure facilities for the city with several innovative programmes.
