Kovai Pazhamudir Nilayam to focus on health food concept
Chennai, Apr 25 (UNI) The Kovai Pazhamudir Nilayam, a division of the Pazhamudir Group of Companies, launched with the concept of offering fresh fruits and vegetables, has drawn up plans to focus on the health food concept.
Addressing after opening a new branch here, N Natarajan, Chairman of Pazhamudir Group said, the company, which emerged as the leading retailers of fruits and vegetables in South India, was now offering unique range of ice creams, salads, mock tails, milk shakes and sandwiches.
"Our main motto is to provide a healthy and tasty meal to our customers, besides offering a wide range of quality fruits, vegetables and associated products at reasonable rates around the year", he said.
He said the company has set up the new branch, the sixth in the city and 25th in Tamil Nadu, with an Investment of about Rs 60 lakh. "We proposed to open three more shops in Nandanam in the city, Thanjavur and Puducherry by next month", he said.
Each of the shop would be set up with an Investment ranging from Rs 25 to Rs 50 lakh, he added.
Mr Natarajan said Pazhamudir Nilayam was serving on an average, 30,000 inhouse customers a day, across all its stores in the state.
The company supplied to its stores, fruits and vegetables twice in a day to ensure that they were farm fresh, he added.
