Man commits suicide on birthday

Jabalpur, Apr 21 (UNI) A man hanged himself to death on his birthday due to his increasing debt burden, police said today.

A suicide note and investigations revealed that deceased Sanju Sahu (35) took a loan of Rs 6,000 on interest from a grocery trader Gopal Khatri ten years back.

The victim provided Rs 1,000 as interest every month but the money lender allegedly harassed him by claiming that the debt was of Rs 21,000. Tired with the mental torture Sanju committed suicide last night.

At the time of suicide, Sahu's wife with their two children had gone to her parents' house, police added.
