2 minors among 3 charred in UP fire
Sultanpur, Apr 20 (UNI) At least three people, including two minor sisters and a woman, were charred to death and as many as 100 huts reduced to rubble in a raging inferno in Valdirai Vikas Khand here this afternoon.
The incident occured at Ramnagar Dhabiya village, where a fire broke out in a house when food was being prepared, sources said.
The ablaze that engulfed the nearby houses within few minutes could only be extinguished after fire personnel reached the spot.
The deceased comprised sisters Rubi (3) and Jeetu (6) and another Shantidevi (55).
Besides this, fire incidents were also reported from oher areas named Kotwali dehat, Khajapur Dhamoor, Korebhar, Hathiyapur, Peeparpur and Kotwali (city), gutting property worth Rs several crores.
