JD(S) to announce candidates on Apr 21
Bangalore, Apr 19 (UNI) The Janata Dal (Secular) will release its list of candidates on April 21 to contest the coming Karnataka Assembly elections.
JD(S) State President Mirajuddin Patel told reporters here today that the final list of the candidates was ready and had been sent to party President H D Deve Gowda for his final approval.
''The party will take new intiatives to take up popular welfare programmes for the farmers and the poor and they will be announced in the party manifesto after the release of the list of candidates,'' he said.
He ruled out any pre-poll alliance with any political party and asserted that the JD(S) would go it alone in the elections.
