NCP and Left announce support to graduate constituency candidate

Lucknow, Apr 18 (UNI) Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), CPI(M) and CPI today announced their support to Rakesh, the candidate for graduate constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

An announcement to this effect was made today at a joint press conference addressed by leaders of these parties.

State chief of NCP Dr Ramesh Dixit, state secretary of CPI(M) and state president of CPI Vishwanath Shashtri told newspersons that the support to bank employees federation leader Rakesh was based on the secular norms their respective parties always followed.

The election to Legislative Council from graduate constituency would take place on April 28. The results would be declared on April 30.
