Minor fire breaks out at UP Chief Minister's office
Lucknow, Apr 18 (UNI) Panic gripped the official circles here this afternoon when a minor fire broke out on the fifth floor of the Secretariat Annexe building which houses the Chief Minister's office.
The false roof of the fifth floor caught fire from a welding appratus as renovation work at CMs office is in progress.
''Fire was extinguished immediately and there was no damage.
Fire tenders were rushed as a precautionary measure,'' a fire officer present on the spot told UNI.
Incidentally, the attendence in the building was very low due to holiday on account of Mahavir Jayanti.
The five floor Annexe building has Chief Minister's office and secretariat at the top floor while several other secretaries and senior officers sit at various floors.
